Crossbite Treatments

Posterior crossbite is often related to a narrow maxilla and upper dental arch. It can be unilateral (one side) or bilateral (both sides). When crossbite condition presents, it is recommended to correct it as soon as possible before the palatal suture fused to help nomalized jaw growth as well as avoid future orthognathic surgery.

Adolescent Crossbite Treatment

Patient has dental crowding, posterior crossbite bilaterally, lateral openbite bilaterally, midline discrepancy was treated with the expander and without teeth extraction

Patient has dental crowding, deepbite, posterior crossbite bilaterally, severe arch asymmetry with significant midline discrepancy was treated with the expander, upper and lower braces without teeth extraction

Patient has spaces, unilateral posterior crossbite, lateral openbite both sides, midline discrepancy was treated using the palatal expander followed full upper and lower braces

Adult Crossbite Treatment

Adult patient has dental crowding, posterior crossbite unilaterally, midline discrepancy was treated with the expander and crossbite elastics without teeth extraction

Adolescent Crossbite Treatment

Patient has dental crowding, crossbite on anterior, midline discrepancy, previous extractions of first bicuspids was treated without teeth extraction
